With maina history and gone and another era begins with WWe and there future stars. I got one match wrong for mania and that was the money in the bank ladder match. Why in the hell did Swagger win that seriously.
I was really moved by Michaels farewell speech and I bet there were a few tears in the building by fans and friend's of him. Raw was better then I exspected it to be. Let's look at Michaels career. Started off as a tag team wrestler but wanted something more for himself and became a singles star. His matches with the Undertaker are damn best matches out there in opinon. Him and Bret Hart had a great Iron man matych at maina 12. Speaking of Hart they had the common sense to turn The Hart Dyansty face after what they did at maina. I bet they egt a title shot at the next ppv.
I told ya that Jericho would win and I bet Edge wins at the next ppv as well. Orton turning face was a good move cause he has it now and can feud when someone takes the belt off Cena. I hope Swagger messes up and they do not put the belt on him cause the man is a joke and when he cashes it in it back fires.

Next stop Wrestlmaina
Raw was ok at best and TNA was decent. Now the question is what will happen. I don't see the tag titles changing hands. No need to explain that one really. Let's talk Punk and Rey. Punk really does not need another person that really does not fit into the Punk's cult. I see Rey going over.
Shemus vs Triple H. The way there pushing Shemus makes me think Triple H will beat him. MITB match will be great. I see Kofi winning that match or even Shelton. There due's have been paid and need to be rewarded.
The Championship matches are in the air but look for Cena to beat Batista. Edge may lose just cause of all the times he has gotten his spear in so many times.

Cutting Edge monday night wars
Tonight is the start of the new monday night wars. TNA vs WWE. if i was a betting man and I am i put the money on WWE. TNA has Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Damn on there live show tonight. There main event is Hogan and Abyss vs Flair and AJ Styles. WWE has Cena vs Vince McMannon. Tape one and watch the other is what I am doing. Yes i belive RVD and Hardy will hep TNA ratings if they are used right. Ken Anderson is being under used so far in my opinon.
Unless TNA has another secert surprise I see alot of channel flipping back and forth. WWE would be smart to have some sort of title change tonight if I was them. Like either the US title or the Divas title. Let's see it goes down tonight.

It is Set
So the road to wrestlemiana is now set up for the the 2 brand title matches. After Cena won the the Raw chamber match and Vince gave Batista a title match right there and he won the title from Cena it is only natraul that Cena and Batista will fight at maina for the WWE title. Now if Batista is Raw star now that is up in the air. As predicted by yours truely Shawn cost the Taker his World title to set them up for there maina bout.
Edge will be on Raw tonight to say who he will face at maina. Again this is easy as we all know it will be Jericho. From tyhe moment they won the tag titles the plan was for them to face off at maina. Edge was suppose to be a face by maina and to from there they would set those 2 up. Just his accident came up and they set it up still starting with the rumble.
So we got 2 title matches set up for maina and 1 match of greats set up.

WWE RAW
Tonight has to be one of the biggest cluster fucks for a Raw show. They started the show off great with Orton and Shumes. Then the tag match was good. The Bret Hart segment was good setting the storyline up more. Then the Jerry Springer segment was just fucking stupid. If i was at that show that be my food or bathroom break time.
Let's hope the rest of the show is is better.

Smack Down
This week's smackdown looks to be pretty damn boring. Here are the spoiler's.
Rey Mysterio defeated CM Punk. The match was very back and forward with Rey getting the advantage early on, only for Punk to get the momentum back toward the middle of the match. His Society tried to interfere on his behalf (they have been added to his Titantron along with the fans he has saved) but that backfired when Rey recognized and was able to roll Punk up.
The post match saw Gallows pummel Rey, Serena kick him like a football, and Punk directing traffic. Punk knelt down on one knee and had Gallows place him on his shoulders for the GTS. After hitting the GTS, Punk laid on the mat taunting Rey and the fans in Baton Rouge started a F*** you Punk chant (will need to edit that out).Layla and McCool antagonize Mickie James about eating a piece of fruit. McCool suggests that she eats a plate of cottage cheese for the title to fit around her waist, but Layla suggested that Mickie just opts for the Mark Henry belt extender. A frustrated Mickie slapped the plate out of Michelle's hand and into Vickie Guerrero's face.Mickie makes her way to the ring to go one on with Layla but before the match could get off to a good start, Vickie cut in with her "Excuse Me". Vickie made it a handicap match, and McCool who was not dressed to compete took her belt off her jeans and took her shoes off to fight barefoot. There was a blooper midway through the match when Layla broke up a pin fall with a kick as her tights fell off (think HHH mooning Vince when DX reunited in 06). She hurriedly pulled her pants up. McCool wins the match with a Faith Breaker.Drew McIntyre comes out to new music and heat. He takes a mic and tells the audience that he doesn't care who his opponent is as he is the IC champ and undefeated. Kane's pyro hits and Drew tries to reason with Kane to push there match back to next week. The bell rings and Kane kicks him in the head. The two fight on the outside and ended up both getting counted out. After the match Drew tries to hit Kane with the IC title only to be chokeslammed. Kane takes the IC title, lays it on a lifeless McIntyre and ignites his pyro before heading to the back.Matt Hardy and Khali defeated The Hart Dynasty. Matt was very over like always here, and before the match started he introduced his Valentine, Maria who came out to the biggest Diva pop of the night. Matt worker the majority of the match, and the finish came when Natalya tried to cheat. Maria Lou Thesz presses Natalya on the outside while Matt rolls up Kidd for the win. After the match Khali, Singh, Matt, and Maria pose together, and once up the ramp Matt and Maria stopped to do the old Hardy/V1 combo pose together.The video package of Batista attacking Bret/Cena is shown and him walking out of his match with Punk. This was Batista's first appearance in Baton Rouge since his Evolution days. He walked out to a chorus of boos. Josh questioned his intentions, but quickly left the ring after Dave stared him down. Dave took the mic and walked around ringside to he met a Cena fan. The two exchanged words and the fan did the You Can't See Me gesture. Dave got back in the ring, threw the mic down, and flipped off the Cena fan. He made his way up the ramp to even more boos, and half way up he decided to turn around. He went back to the ring picked up the mic, acted like he was about to speak only to laugh and throw it back down.Teddy announces Batista vs. Edge for next weeks show.R-Truth made his way to the ring to an enormous pop to take on Morrison. He did a small change in his lines, ending his rap with Who Dat. Morrison entered to a mix of cheers and boos. The match was cut short when Morrison apparently sprained his ankle trying to leap over Truth. He rolled his right ankle pretty badly and had to be helped to the back by Truth, the ref, and the trainer.Edge makes his way to the ring to a standing ovation, and started off by saying "Who dat that said he would win the Royal Rumble." He talks about the main benefit of winning the Rumble is that you avoid the Chamber match and said that it was possible that he could face Cena, Orton, Myterio, or the love child of Charles Manson and Brutus the Barber Beefcake (CM Punk) at WrestleMania 26. He then took the time to point out that while he is in the select group of guys who have main evented Mania and won, there is only one man who is undefeated.Jericho's music hits to interrupt him. Jericho said that Edge didn't mention him as a possible match up because he was afraid of what he would do to him and that he knows he is Edge's bad luck charm. He talks about Edge crying about his injury and making his triumphant return, only to say that he himself will never know what that feels like since he doesn't get hurt.Taker's gong sounds as he and Jericho are set to face off in a No DQ main event. Taker's reaction was deafening as it was the first time he has come to Baton rouge in his Deadman persona and his first match period since his Big Evil days. Edge did commentary for the match. The finish came when Jericho went to the outside and got into an argument with Edge onlt for Taker to come from behind and attempt to throw Jericho over the table and on top of Edge. Edge moved at the last minute and he and Taker had a stare off before Taker threw Jericho back in the ring. Edge let his guard down and it resulted in Taker giving him a boot to the head. Back in the ring, Taker hit the Last Ride on Jericho, but before he could pin him Edge hit him with a Spear. Taker sat up as Edge was making his way up the ramp. Taker went over to collect Jericho's carcass only to be hit with the Code Breaker and be pinned. Jericho wins as the fans boo and exit the River Center.
Now let's look at this. They need to have Edge vs Jericho for mania. They really do. While there trying tio make Edge look heel in my eyes for spearing the Taker is weak he is really a face. I see there playing the valentine's stuff with Matt Hardy having Maria be his valentine. Rather they are dating I have no clue. I do know that CM Punk is dating Amy Dumas(Lita) right now.
The road to mania is 7 weeks away. let's hope for a good maina and more storyline's to come. And congrats to Ted debise for beuing first inductee to this year's HOF.

Road to maina
Well Raw was pretty damn good tonight. Only thing i did not see coming was Miz and Show winning the tag titles at all. I honestly thought Punk and Gallows would win them. I knew it was over when Michaels blind tag himself in the match.
The best part was him wanting to be traded to Raw to chase his match with the Taker. That storyline has me real interested.
Another shocker was Rhodes beating his leader Orton tonight. The Cean vs Batista match for maiona is starting to take place real well. Don't look for either Batista or Cena to win there chamber matches. I say Shemus wins his and faces Triple H at maina and I see Jericho winning so Edge can take the title from him at maina to get there feud going.
As for the end of ECW coming in the next 2 weeks. what ever NXT is gonna be. I see it being WWE's training farm of FCW wrestlers. I see Christian going to either Raw or Smackdown brand. I am hoping he picks Sd cause they do need the talent over there right now.

Greatest gimmicks in wrestling
Let's talk gimmicks. for those who happen to come across this blog by a friend or found it by accident and you wanting to break into the biz. listen carefully. Look at wrestling as a product and the thing you are selling is yourself. Think of a gimmick and invest into that gimmick.
Look at the Honky Tonk Man. The greatest intercontionel champion of all time. He dressed like Elvis and talked like him but claimed to be better then Elvis. He used that gimmick and got heat and hit people with his guitar. It got him over. He invested into his look and tights to sell himself and it paid off for him.
Another good gimmick was Dusty Rhodes with just his common man and american dream gimmick. He knew how tot alk on the mic and just act like a everyday working man. Something everyone could relate to.
Demolation one of the best tag teams ever to work with there leather outfits and painted faces as being rough and tough guys got them 3 tag team title runs.
The Nasty Boys another great tag team dressing like street thugs and yelling at the fans there were gonna nastize them got them over.
The road warriors or Legion of doom. Another gimmck of tough guys from the streets of Chicogo one had a mohawk another had a double mohawk. Rough and tough and destroying who ever got in there way.
Hulk hoag appealed to kids telling to say there prayers and take there vitiemins and what not. Being the true american for wrestling.
My favorite gimmick of all time has to Stone cold Steve Austin. The beer swealing,finger flipping,foul mouth, ass kicking employee. Alot of us hate our bosses and he took the dream of beating up his boss. Dressed only in black trunks and drinking beer when ever he felt like it was a instant success for him. He was someone everyone wanted to be in wrestling.
Raven is another favorite of mine for gimmicks. He was grunge wrestler when grunge music was popular. He is awesome on the mic and promos is what got him over. Dressing is street jeans and ripped t-shirts was a great look for hima nd gimmick.
Find a gimmick send some cash on it to invest in yourself and the look. You may start out not making money at first unless you get it over to invest in your look.

So Edge wins the Royal Rumble after a 6 month absence recovering from his sugery. He appeared on Moday night raw and said he has not choosen which title he will be fighting for yet. My guess is this. He will face Chris Jericho for the title. How will this happen? Jericho will win the Elimanation chamber match. Reason it will be Chris is cause of the trash talk he has said about Edge. Taker having the title to face Shawn Michaels is really point less. But Shawn is most likely to cost the Taker the title to start there fued off for the grand daddy match of them all.
They are setting up Cena vs Batista by using Hart and Vince angle.
I am guessing that next week DX will drp the tag titles to the Straight Edge Soceity by having Shawn getting pinned and just wanting Taker at maina. There that will be setting up Triple H vs Shemus for the WWE title at maina. There either pushing the MVP/Miz feud all the way to maina.
Next week on Raw I am hoping Gail Kim will win the Diva's title over Maryse. That would not be exspected at all. The reason I say this is that we all know Maryse is gonna win cause of the feud with Melina. But it shock people to have Gail win and have a major match at mainia.
So folks the road to wrestlmaina has begun and just have to see what happens on Smackdown to see what happens next for the next ppv.
